Microsoft announced TypeScript 7.1 Beta on October 20. This test release promises shorter waits during code checks while using less memory. That could make day-to-day work smoother, especially on large projects.

The published results show gains that vary between projects, so do not expect the same speedup everywhere. This release also prepares support for new JavaScript features.

Still in beta, it is worth trying on a test project before adopting it. The potential time savings are appealing, provided you check compatibility with your existing code.
